Follow @TheGuestAle Harveys of Lewes has been operating since 1790 and makes a host of cracking beer using local hops and English malts. It’s probably most famous for its Harveys Sussex Best Bitter, which is personally my favourite best (in a close tie with the Timothy Taylor Landlord). Due to its limited tours and high demand the waiting list for Harveys’ brewery tours can be more than two years. But it’s worth the wait. Harveys is a traditional brewer operating from its original site. The guides are informative and the best part is you can help yourself to the samples on tap at the end.
